Disk brakes are a superior braking system to anything offered on trailers of all kinds.  They are installed by removing the drum and electric backing plates, and then installing the holding bracket,  hub, and calliper.  The brakes are powered by a 1600 PSI motor and delivers DOT 3 brake fluid through steel lines and a flexible line going into the calliper.  Benefits are superior braking and much better longevity in the entire braking system.

No magnet failure, and brake shoes that fall off inside the hub, along with springs and other brake parts.  No wires going into the back of the brakes, that constantly give the owner trouble, which cause several other brake problems.
